What does it take to be watch of the year? Well I’m sure Piaget could tell you!
Under the auspices of the magazine Montres Passion, the jury has selected the “Altiplano, eccentric small seconds” by Piaget as the 2008 Watch of the Year, thanks to its “perfect design, elegance and pure lines, finesse and excellent extra-thin movement”. The trophy was presented to Philippe Léopold-Metzger, Piaget’s CEO, at an awards ceremony two days ago in Geneva attended by local officials as well as over 500 well known figures from the watchmaking sector.
