The highlights of Bremont’s Norton Limited Watch launch, the watch was launched alongside a the new Norton Motorcycle.

The new Maurice Lacroix Pontos Decentrique Phases de Lune which is Pre- BASEL 2010 is available in limited number not sure on the actual amount as yet.

The watch features an automatic ML (Maurice Lacroix) calibre 122 in-house model which is patent pending  for hour, minute, and moon indicator. The watch is housed within a titanium case with sand blast finish with a unique coating to prevent fingerprint marking. It measures 45mm with an AR sapphire coated crystal.

It’s been recently confirmed that Tag Heuer will honour Tiger Woods despite what has happened in the past months. The President and CEO of TAG Heuer Jean-Christophe Babin, has issued a statement explaining that they’ll reduce the amount of use of his images in certain markets for a period of time.

On another note Tag Heuer will continue to support the Tiger Woods Foundation.

Movement is the automatic Zenith in-house caliber 689, COSC-certified as a chronometer. It has 31 jewels, beating at 28,800 bph and with a power reserve of 50 hours. This ultra-thin movement measures 25mm x 4mm, and is composed of 146 parts. The rotor is 22kt gold. Limited to just 100 pieces/

The case, in 18kt rose gold, measures 40mm. It has double AR-coated sapphire crystals and is water resistant to 30 meters. The hands and indeces are 18kt gold.

Cartier has created a concept watch that after its manufacture and assembly, requires no further adjustments, ever.

This is due to an innovative use of materials and technology. The watch is housed in a Ballon Bleu case that measures 46mm. It is made of an alloy of Niobium-Titanium (Nb-Ti).

The concept of the Cartier ID One is to avoid ever having to service or adjust the hairspring, the balance wheel or the pallet fork, which in normal watches are the most “serviced” parts of a mechanical movement.

Whilst this is a concept watch, the materials and technology used will eventually be found in the brand’s models.

The original Silverstone was launched in 1974. TAG Heuer will re-issue it in February 2010 featuring the automatic caliber 11 Chronomatic with micro-rotor by Dubisois-Depraz. This model is limited to just 1,860.

To celebrate the 150th Anniversary of TAG Heuer, the firm has created this “in-house” column-wheel automatic caliber.

It features an oscillating pinion with optimized chronograph start (2/1’000 sec.). The annular balance has 3 arms made of Glucydur, and features a “Top” quality Swiss balance-spring with micro blazed finishing, Raquetterie with fine adjustment by eccentric screw, which leads to an average accuracy of +/- 4 seconds per day.

It measures 29.3mm (13 lignee) wide x 7.1mm in height. It has 39 jewels, beating at 28,800 bph and with a power reserve of 50 hours (40 hours with the chronograph engaged).

The Swiss brand Edmond was founded by French designer Jean-Pierre Edmond. After his studies in an Academy of design in Paris, he started up his carrier as a designer in auto industry.

Later he created a range of sportive accessories for Salomon Company and worked for the watch industry. His dream has always been to create progressive ergonomic designs for watches. It took over two years to develop the design, the technical features, and his innovation in the design of the patented Lock-ED concept. The case, in stainless steel, with PVD coating in some models, measures 44mm x 15mm. It has a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 100 meters. Movement is the automatic Swiss ETA caliber 2824-2 with 25 jewels, beating at 28,800 bph and with a power reserve of 40 hours.

It’s been announced that Marc Ecko Watches and Timex Watches are to create a new sci-fi brand “Star Wars Watches”. It’s been mentioned that the new watches will be launched before the end of this year 2009 in time for Christmas.

Marc Ecko Watches have always been associated with the urban and trendy look which is totally opposite to the geeky appearance of Star Wars Fans. It’s believed that the familiar indigo feature in all Timex watches will be a function on the new Star Wars Watches. Materials which will be used to complete the watches are thought to be metal and rubber.
